Thigh Lift Houston - Thighplasty
What is a thigh lift?
Thigh lift Houston also known as thighplasty, is a plastic surgery procedure to remove excess skin from the inner thigh (inner thigh lift or medial thigh lift), outer thigh (outer thigh lift), or knee (knee lift). This condition usually occurs after significant weight loss, which results in stretch marks and sagging skin.
Who is a good candidate for a thigh lift?
You are a good candidate for a thigh lift procedure if you have loose skin of inner thigh, knee, or outer thigh. A good test is to pull on the thigh skin and observe if the sagginess is corrected. During your consultation at Avante Plastic Surgery, Dr. Ahmadi will examine you to determine if the thigh lift suits you.
Where is the incision for the thigh lift Houston placed?
The outer thigh lift surgery incision is placed over the hip, often as an extension of the tummy tuck incision. The same incision can be extended back to do a buttock lift if necessary. There are two surgical techniques to perform the inner thigh lift: the groin crease incision and the inner thigh longitudinal incision. The groin crease incision can only lift the upper third of the inner thigh. Any attempt to lift more skin will result in unsightly widened groin scars. The inner longitudinal surgical technique can correct excess inner thigh skin all the way down to the knees if needed. The scar is hidden on the thigh’s inner aspect and heals exceptionally well.

Can I get liposuction instead of a thigh lift Houston?
Liposuction and thigh lift achieve different objectives but are very powerful if combined together. Liposuction is all you need if you have bulging tissue and no sagging skin. Liposuction removed excess fat. However, liposuction cannot tighten loose skin. Only surgical excision can remove sagging skin. With that being said, Dr. Ahmadi often adds liposuction to thigh lift to achieve better contouring. During your consultation, Dr. Ahmdai will examine and determine which procedure suits you.
