LipoTuck

LipoTuck™ – Excellence in Body Contouring

At Avante Plastic Surgery, we humbly believe that LipoTuck™  is the gold standard in body contouring not only in Houston | Sugar Land but worldwide; anything else is just an approximation. LipoTuck™ differs from the traditional tummy tuck in that it also incorporates significant liposuction to the abdomen, hips, love handles, back, pubis, and axilla.

In one procedure, we can remove excess skin, tighten abdominal muscles, contour your upper abdomen, and reduce waist and bra rolls.  LipoTuck™ includes all tummy tuck benefits plus much more!

LipoTuck™  is a one-stage procedure that creates a highly pleasing abdominal contour and waistline. The results are simply remarkable and unmatched. We encourage you to compare our before and after photos with those of other surgeons. You cannot afford not to.

Why should you choose Dr. Ahmadi for LipoTuck™?

Simply put, it is all about the surgeon’s knowledge, experience, and results. Dr. Ahmadi pioneered the LipoTuck™ procedure to combine tummy tuck and liposuction in 2002 and has been perfecting his craft ever since.

Why do people choose LipoTuck™ over tummy tuck or liposuction?

A traditional tuck fails to address the upper abdomen, hips, and love handles. Patients undergoing this procedure frequently have residual upper abdomen, pubic, and bra bulges. These patients lack waistline curves and often seek liposuction later to correct what should have been addressed the first time. By perfectly combining lipo and tuck, LipoTuck™ offers a one-stage solution for body contouring.

Can I just get liposuction?

That depends on whether your abdominal skin is hanging. If there is any loose skin, liposuction makes the condition worse. Skin laxity usually results from rapid or severe weight loss (commonly seen after weight loss procedures such as Lap Band or gastric bypass) or stretch marks (frequently seen after pregnancy). During your consultation, Dr. Ahmadi can tell you if liposuction is all you need.

Is the recovery from LipoTuck™ longer?

No, the recovery is not longer than a traditional tuck. However, most patients report returning to their lives faster than friends who have had a  tuck elsewhere. This is because of our carefully planned and aggressive recovery protocol. The fact that no drains are used in a LipoTucksignificantly helps the recovery process.  Usually, patients can drive a week or two after their surgery and return to a desk job a week later with lifting precautions. Of course, everyone heals differently.

Is the pain worse than a C-section?

No, in general, the pain is less than in a C-section. Most patients take a few days of pain medication and stop. They commonly report being “tight” which resolves after a few days. Keep in mind that everyone has a different threshold for pain.

How much does LipoTuck™ cost? What is included in the price?

You may contact us to receive an approximate cost. The price covers anesthesia, facility, surgery fees, and routine follow-ups. Since every person is different, we can only provide the exact cost at the consultation. LipoTuck™ is much more cost-effective than getting an abodminoplasty and liposuction separately.

Do I need to have a long incision?  How will I scar?

The incision length depends on how far back the skin laxity extends.  If the skin only hangs in the front, the incision will also be limited to the front.  The good news is that the incision is placed low so it can be covered by underwear.  During recovery, ointments, injections, and silicone sheets will keep the scar flat and thin.  However, the quality of the scar varies from patient to patient.

During the LipoTuck™, what happens to my belly button?

Dr. Ahmadi will make an incision around the belly button to release it from the surrounding skin.  Next, the skin from the top of the belly button gets pulled down over the belly button to the pubic area.   A new hole will be made, and the belly button gets pulled through.   Of course, there is more to it than that.  Dr. Ahmadi’s belly buttons are renowned for their natural appearance.

How will my belly button look after surgery?

It will be small and attractive.  After recovery, it will look very natural.

How long is the procedure?

LipoTuck takes longer to perform than a traditional abdominoplasty.  The additional time is spent on contouring the body and doing liposuction.  Typically Lipotuck lasts between 4-6 hours, depending on each patient and the total number of liposuction areas.

Do you have financing for LipoTuck™ Surgery?

I’m planning on becoming pregnant.  Should I have the LipoTuck™ now or wait?

Suppose you are planning on becoming pregnant in the near future.  In that case, we recommend you postpone your surgery until after pregnancy since the abdominal muscles can expand, and the skin will be stretched during pregnancy.
