Body Lift

Consultations offered at our two convenient locations in Houston and Sugar Land, TX

One of the most hindering side effects of losing excess weight is your body’s inability to “snap back into shape”. Your body stretches to accommodate the fat and muscle in your body, so when patients go through dramatic weight fluctuations, they find that they now have “too much skin” that hangs and sags, and it’s most commonly found in the lower-to-mid section of the body. Dr. Ahmad Ahmadi and his team at Avante Plastic Surgery strive to provide our Houston patients with natural-looking results with a Body Lift procedure. To find out if you could benefit from this treatment, please keep reading the information we have provided below.

Our photo gallery shows a dedication to our craft and features real patient before & after photos of Dr. Ahmadi’s patients. With over two decades of experience, we pride ourselves on offering some of the best plastic surgery results in Houston.

Before and After Photos

What is a Body Lift?

A Body Lift is a surgical procedure that may consist of work being performed on several treatment areas, such as your abdomen, thighs, and buttocks. The goal of this surgery is to improve your underlying supportive tissue’s shape and tone. Any areas where there is excess sagging are removed, which can improve a dimpled or irregular skin surface. In situations where the patient has poor skin elasticity, you may require Liposuction as an additional procedure for best results.

Our Houston Body Lift patients have seen the following benefits from their treatment:

  • Eliminates extra skin folds
  • Increases self-confidence
  • Reduces skin inflammation
  • Smoother body contour
  • Makes exercise easier and more enjoyable

  • Are committed to maintaining a healthy lifestyle through proper diet and exercise
  • Have a significant amount of loose, soft tissue in one or multiple areas of their body
  • In overall good health
  • Keep a positive attitude throughout the recovery process
  • Maintain realistic expectations for the procedure results
  • Nonsmoker

First Steps

If you’re interested in a Body Lift in Houston, the first step is to book a consultation with Dr. Ahmad Ahmadi at Avante Plastic Surgery. When you come in for your appointment, the two of you will go over your objectives for the surgery, review your medical history, and examine your target areas for the procedure. Based on this information, Dr. Ahmadi will create a customized surgical plan that caters to the specific requirements of your Body Lift. The surgical plan will outline the techniques to be employed, the anesthesia options available, and the expected outcome of the surgery. If you are content with the plan, you can coordinate a surgery date with our patient coordinator, who will also give you a detailed set of pre-operative instructions to follow before your body lift.

Expectations

On the day of your Body Lift, you will be administered anesthesia, either sedation, depending on what is discussed during your consultation. Dr. Ahmadi will make incisions at strategic locations around your body where he will be able to remove excess skin and fat. The primary targeted areas of a body lift include the abdomen, hips, buttocks, and lower back. Any incisions made by Dr. Ahmadi will be well hidden either in the natural curves and creases of your body or hidden within your bikini area. If you require Liposuction to remove stubborn fat, this will also be performed before your incisions are closed.

The total time for this surgery will be based on your individual needs, but you can expect between six and eight hours.

Post Procedure

Once you are released by Dr. Ahmadi, you will be able to return home to recover in peace and comfort. You will need a ride home from the surgery center as you will still be under the influence of pain medication and anesthesia.

As you recover, it’s important to take enough time to rest and heal. Most patients will need at least a week before gradually returning to non-strenuous activities, and then being able to return to normal activity around six weeks post-op. You can’t drive for 10 days post-op and no lifting or pushing more than 5lbs for six weeks after surgery.

Cost

The cost of a Body Lift in Houston will vary depending on several factors, including the techniques used and the scope of the procedure. To obtain an accurate estimate of the total cost, you’ll need to schedule a consultation with Dr. Ahmadi. After finalizing a surgical plan tailored to your specific needs, our Patient Coordinator will provide a comprehensive breakdown of all associated costs.

FAQs

Is a Body Lift painful?

The surgery is performed under anesthesia and you will be on pain medication when you leave, but it is very common to feel some pain and discomfort as you heal. The pain is typically the highest for the first three to four days, but Dr. Ahmadi will have prescribed you some temporary pain medication to alleviate any of your symptoms. We will provide you with detailed post-operative instructions that will help you achieve the most optimal results.

How many appointments will I need?

We see surgical patients the day after the surgery, 3-5 days later, again around 10-12 days after surgery, and again at 6 weeks. There may be a few other appointments in between.

How long until I see results?

Depending on the level of change and the procedures you performed, you may notice some positive changes almost immediately after surgery, but keep in mind that you will still be swollen and bruised for a week or two. Your scars will fade over time, but most patients begin to see their final body contouring results around 6 weeks to 1 year. Please note that every patient will have a unique recovery process, and your experience may be different.

Can I combine Body Lifts with other procedures?

A Body Lift will already use different techniques to achieve your aesthetic goals, but Liposuction is frequently combined with surgery, as well as Arm LiftThigh Lift, or even Breast Augmentation. If you have a specific idea for your body or you would like to hear Dr. Ahmadi’s expert recommendations, please bring up your interest in additional procedures during your consultation.

What are the risks associated with Body Lift?
