Lipotuck™ - Going Beyond Tummy Tuck and Liposuction, Houston Texas

Only by Dr. Ahmadi at Avante Plastic Surgery, Houston - Sugar Land, Texas

We are of the humble opinion that Lipotuck™ is the gold standard in body contouring; anything else is just an approximation. Lipotuck™ differs from the traditional tummy tuck by addition of significant liposuction to the abdomen, hips, love handles and commonly the thighs. Lipotuck™ is a one stage procedure that creates extremely pleasing abdominal contour and waist line.  The results are simply remarkable and unmatched. We encourage you to compare our before and after photos with those of other surgeons.  You simply cannot afford not to.

What is Tummy Tuck or Abdominoplasty?

Tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is a common term for the surgical procedure to correct a protruding or loose, sagging abdomen. Tummy tuck involves removing excess skin from the lower abdomen.  Additionally, muscles that have weakened or separated, a condition called diastasis, is also corrected at the same time during Tummy tuck.  The loosening of muscle most commonly occurs from child birth.    Lipotuck™ includes and all Tummy Tuck benefits plus much more

Why Houstonians  should choose Lipotuck™  over tummy tuck or liposuction?

Traditional tummy tuck fails to address the upper abdomen, hips and love handles. Frequently, patients undergoing just the tummy tuck have residual upper abdomen, pubic and bra bulges. These patients lack waist line curves and often seek liposuction at a later time to correct what should have been addressed the first time around. By perfectly combining tummy tuck and liposuction, Lipotuck™ offers a one-stage solution in body contouring.

Can I just get liposuction?

That depends whether your abdominal skin is hanging or not.  If there is any loose skin, liposuction makes the condition worse.  Skin laxity usually results from rapid or severe weight loss (commonly seen after weight loss procedures such Lap Band or gastric bypass), or stretch marks (frequently seen after pregnancy).  During your consultation, Dr. Ahmadi will be able to tell you if liposuction is all you need.

Is the recovery from Lipotuck™ longer than tummy tuck?

No, the recovery is no longer than a regular tummy tuck.  However, most patients report that they get back to their lives faster than their friends who have had tummy tuck elsewhere.  This is because of our carefully planned and aggressive recovery protocol.  Usually, patients are able to drive a week or two after their surgery and go back to desk job a few days afterwards with lifting precautions.  Of course, everyone heals differently.

Is the pain worse than c-section?

No, in general the pain is less than c-section.  Most patients take a few days of pain medication and stop.  They commonly report being "tight" which resolves after a few days.  Bear in mind that everyone has different threshold for pain.

How much does Lipotuck™ cost? What is included in the price?

You may email us to receive an approximate cost.  The price is all inclusive and covers anesthesia, facility, surgery fee, surgical garment and routine follow-ups  Since every person is different we can  only provide the exact cost at consultation.

Do I need to have a long incision? How will I scar?

The length of the incision depends on how far back the skin laxity extends.  If the skin only hangs in the front then the incision will also be limited to the front.  The good news is that the incision is placed low so it can be covered by underwear.  During your recovery, ointments, injections and silicone sheets will be used to keep the scar flat and thin.  However, the quality of scar varies from patient to patient.

Can I talk to previous Lipotuck™ patients?

We encourage you to talk to previous patients and ask questions, obtain information about their experience, and address your concerns.  After your consultation, a list of patients can be given to you upon request.
